Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 nos tamarind


  • 10-15 nos coriander leaves


  • 2 nos garlic


  • 2 nos red chillies


  • 2 tsp ghee


  • 1 tbsp thur dal


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds cumin seeds and a red chilli for seasoning

Directions

  • Soak tamarind in water and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan with a tea spoon of ghee. Fry Thurdal and red chillies
  • add the garlic pearls and some pieces of tomatoes and fry for 10 seconds and switch off the stove.
  • Heat a pan with extracted tamarind juice . Add turmeric powder, salt and remaining tomatoes . Add half tea spoon of sugar. Let it boil till the raw smell of tamarind goes
  • add the grounded stuff to it. Wait till the bubbles start forming. Mix well. Switch off the stove.
  • Do the seasoning with mustard seeds, red chilli and cumin seeds in a tea spoon of ghee.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
